As a wildlife conservationist, my travels often take me to breathtaking places, but my recent stay at the Hotel Alpenruhe - Vintage Design Hotel in Wengen during the Christmas season truly left an indelible mark. Our room, number 51, was simply the best-spacious, impeccably clean, and boasting a surreal view of the majestic Bernese Alps right from our balcony. The staff was genuinely brilliant and made us feel welcomed, offering a pleasant shuttle service from the Wengen Train Station. The breakfast buffet was a delight, with a tempting array of cheeses, fresh bread, and local sausages, along with eggs made to our liking upon request-perfect fuel for our daytime adventures in the stunning nearby trails. This delightful hotel successfully merges history with comfort, allowing us to relax in a setting that feels both authentic and dignified. My companions and I cherished the calm surroundings and stunning views of the mountains, providing a perfect backdrop for our cozy gatherings after days spent exploring. If you're looking for a place that embodies the spirit of the Alps with a warm welcome, Hotel Alpenruhe should be at the top of your list!
